Analytics is what I do
Throughout my career, I have worked on Analytics and Data Science projects in a variety of industries: manufacturing, retail, healthcare, e-commerce, HR management, ocean shipping, to name a few. My clients and employers have been the leaders in their industries. The teams I have worked with have varied from small to large. The technologies I have used cover a wide spectrum, from simple to complex.

Data integration
Most organizations use a variety of software to manage their business, resulting in valuable data stored in various locations. I will design and implement the data integration pipelines necessary to bring your data into a common location, where it will produce the most value.
Data warehouse / data lake design and implementation
A data warehouse and data lake are specialized database designs used for analytics. They are usually the destination of the data integration pipelines. I will design and implement a high-performance and extensible analytics database specific to your needs.
Reports and dashboards
Reports and dashboards are the main way your business users interact with your company data. I will create effective reports and dashboards to give users quick access to the data they need to answer business questions.

Some Past Projects
Here is a description for some of my past projects
Bombardier Recreational Products is a vehicle manufacturer. I designed, implemented and optimized a data warehouse for the warranty claim process, allowing operation teams to quickly identify and fix weaknesses in the vehicle manufacturing and assembly. This resulted in much fewer warranty claims, and hundreds of thousands of dollars in savings.
Wrebbit is the creator of the Puzz3D line of toys. I designed and implemented a data warehouse to support sales and finance, and help track skus, bundles, discounts, and returns. It resulted in faster financial analysis, and a major upgrade from off-the-shelf reports available in the ERP platform.
Renault is a European car maker. As part of the redesign of the corporate website, I defined the functionality and related analytics for the “My Renault” section, where car owners can store information about their vehicles and get reminders, offers, order parts and supplies, etc.
E. & J. Gallo Winery is a wine producer and distributor. It is vertically integrated and owns vineyards, wine making, transportation, barrel making, bottling plants and label printing. I designed a data warehouse that covers the entire wine making process to provide a central data repository and enable advanced analytics.
BriteSmile was a provider of teeth whitening products and services (acquired by Philips). As the Marketing Analyst, I designed methods to manage and analyze sales data and marketing campaigns, including the Marketing Data Warehouse that provided further analytics capabilities. The analytics proved invaluable when launching the e-commerce site.
Kodak Gallery was a digital photography website (shut down after Kodak bankruptcy). I managed the Enterprise Reporting Group, which provided analytics and data services to the whole company: Product Management, Marketing, Accounting, Finance, Operations, International, etc. As part of the e-commerce site rebuild, I designed and built the hugely successful Pulse enterprise analytics platform.
TriNet is a provider of managed HR services. As part of Corporate BI, I designed and implemented the Matrix reporting platform to enable decision-support requirements of several departments. I also created processes for calculating and reporting on broker commissions to support the Sales team, and optimized the calculations used for the Finance forecasting process.
Navis is a software maker in the ocean shipping industry. To support shipping companies with decision making and analytics, I designed, implemented and operated the Xvela Analytics platform, which is integrated in the Xvela planning and collaboration SaaS product. The analytics platform provides end-to-end visibility into the ship and port operations, which is not available in any other shipping operations tool.
